In October of 1996 Alliance opened the Alliance Adult Day Services, which provides an alternative health care option for dependent adults. The Alliance Adult Day Services has three locations; 9615 N. College Avenue in Indianapolis, 7545 Rockville Road in Indianapolis, and 1101 Park Avenue in Munster, Indiana. Alliance Adult Day Services provides quality daytime programs, in a caring, loving, supervised home-like environment. The programs provide opportunity to socialize, through participation in activities, exercise programs, educational programs and group recreation. In a caring, safe environment, these activities are designed to help the physical and mental health of the participants. The programs also provide respite and assistance to the family and other caregivers who have responsibility for a person who cannot be left alone during the day and yet does not require 24-hour nursing care. The Alliance Adult Day Services helps functionally impaired adults who live alone or with a caregiver to improve or maintain their level of independence. The adult day services are proud to help the participants remain in the community, by enabling families and other caregivers to continue caring for their family member at home.
